Asus’ New Netbooks: Eee PC 1015P, 1018P, 1016P
Hey, look! New Eee PCs are on the way! The three netbooks are updated (i.e. better) versions of the netbooks already out in the market from Asus.
The Asus Eee PC 1015P is technically a 1005P with a matte display, aluminum chassis, chiclet keyboard and a touchpad that looks to have been taken from the T91MT. Battery is said to last for 14 hours on a single charge, the same as with the 1005P. I’m most interested in this because of the matte display.
The Eee PC 1018P is a close relative of the 1008P and is thinner at 0.7 inches. It also comes with a fingerprint reader and USB 3.0. It also has a chiclet-style keyboard. Battery is rated at 10 hours.
There aren’t a lot of info on the Eee PC 1016P aside from that it will have a chiclet keyboard, aluminum chassis and a 14-hour battery life. It is said to be a business netbook, like the HP Mini 5101.
Good thing you haven’t gotten that new Asus netbook yet, right? I think I’ll hold out for a Asus Eee PC 1015P.
