Asus Eee PC T101MT Hits US and UK in April, $499
Asus is ready to ship their convertible Asus Eee PC T101MT in April. Eeepc.it is reporting that it will be available in Italy for €499, and it would most likely be available in the US as well for $499.
We don’t have the exact specs for the US version but the one that will be released in Italy will pack Windows 7 Home Premium, 2GB RAM and a 320GH HDD, an Intel Atom N450 processor and a 10.1″ 1024 x 600 touchscreen. The US version is expected to have 1GB of RAM, 160GB HDD and Windows 7 Starter.
With an early April release as well as a $499 price tag, looks like Asus is hoping to put a dent on iPad’s momentum. The iPad, of course, does not have a physical keyboard and somewhat limited as a work machine, while the T101MT is a netbook computer and is more functional.
