Asus Eee PC 1201PN Goes Official… in Germany
The Asus Eee PC 1201PN finally goes official and up for pre-order in Germany for €479 ($608 US) from Amazon.de. We first heard about Asus addition to the 12″ netbook line in March, and so far, we know that it will come with the next-gen NVIDIA ION graphics.
Technical specs are as follows:
- 12.1″ 1366 x 768 pixel HD display
- 1.6GHz Intel Atom N450 processor
- NVIDIA ION graphics
- 2GB RAM
- 250GB HDD
- Windows 7 Home Premium
- HDMI output, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth
Maybe with the NVIDIA ION graphics card, we can expect a better video performance from a netbook, yes? It also comes with ArcSoft TotalMedia Theater which works with the graphics card for hardware video acceleration.
We’ll keep an eye out for this on Amazon when it finally hits US shores. Last we hear ‘s US release has been delayed to June, and that it won’t come withOptimus technology, but there definitely would be upgraded models down the line.
