Asus Eee PC 1201N Available at Newegg, $500

With the ION-powered, dual-core Atom 330 Asus Eee PC 1201N still up for pre-order from Amazon and won’t be available for shipping until January 15, 2010, you can head on over to Newegg.com where the 12.1″ machine is also available for the list price of $499.99 with free shipping AND it looks like it might already be shipping right now (as indicated by the ‘add to cart’ button rather than a pre-order button).

The only have it in black, but if you can’t wait to get one and would rather have the black than the silver (which you have to wait until next year to get anyway), you can head on over to Newegg.

UPDATE: Apparently, a lot of people had checked Newegg for this. I checked it out again, just now, and apparently it’s already SOLD OUT. Hmm. Lot’s of people interested in the Asus Eee PC 1201N, I’m thinking.
