Looking forward to updating your Asus netbook to the new Asus Eee PC 1016P? The wait is over as they have it on Electronica Direct via Amazon of course. They have it in stock for a pricey $531.29.

  • Intel Atom N455 (1.66GHz)
  • Windows 7 Professional OS
  • 2 GB DDR3 SODIMM memory, 1 slot, max 2 GB
  • 320GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM)
  • 10.1-Inch Matte 1024X600 WSVGA LED Display
  • 802.11 b/g/n; 10/100/1000 LAN; Bluetooth 3.0
  • Up to 10 Hours of Battery Life

Originally, it was thought to cost a little less than $500, but then that configuration only had 1 GB RAM and 160GB HDD. If you notice, the release has 2GB RAM and 320GB HDD. It also comes with Windows 7 Professional which would definitely add to the cost.
