Asus Eee PC 1008HA Seashell Now Available at Amazon
The Asus Eee PC 1008HA Seashell is now available for pre-order at Amazon in Pearl White or Pearl Black, both for $409.99.
While it has been reviewed as “ordinary”, it is absolutely striking. The ultra-slim, ultra-chic netbook has been one of Asus’ most highly anticipated releases for this year. It’s only an inch thick and weighs 2.4 lbs.It comes with a spacious 170GB Hybrid Storage (160GB hard disk drive and 10GB of Eee Online Storage), a 10.1-inch LED-backlit screen, a comfortable, ergonomic 92% keyboard and a user-friendly wide format multi-touch touchpad.
It also has the built-in quick recovery system. If running on Windows, press F9 three times during start up and it restores your netbook to factory settings, which means there’s no need for any Windows or drivers CDs when your machine encounters any problems.
As we’ve mentioned, the Eee PC 1008HA does not have replaceable batteries. The one that comes with the unit can run up to six hours, unplugged. If that isn’t an issue, and you’d still want to get yourself one, head on over to Amazon to pre-order.
All I’m saying is that it really is a beauty, and might just be worth the risk of having a non-replaceable battery.
