ASUS Eee PC 1005HAG in Japan, 3G Enabled

There are a whole lot more Asus Eee PCs that are dreamt of in your philosophy… at least outside of the US. Like the 10.1″ Asus Eee PC 1005HAG (what’s with the name?) which Asus Japan would be releasing on September 19th. It’s pretty much the same Bestselling Asus Eee PC 1005HA Seashell that won’t quit being #1 on the Amazon list, but with internal HSUPA 3G and a probable $50 price bump.

Specs would include the usual Intel Atom N280 (1.66GHz) with an Intel 945GSE Express, 160GB HDD, a 10.1″ 1024×600 WSVGA screen and Windows XP Home Edition. Price in Japan is ¥52,800 ($584).

If you’re not in Japan, however, what do you think of a 3G-enabled netbook?
