Asus Eee PC 1005HA available for pre-order at Amazon

Scheduled to launch in July, the Asus Eee PC 1005HA is already available for pre-order at Amazon — the model is black and is selling for $350. No word on the type of battery, but the product description claims it can run up to 8.5 hours. I’d give customer service a quick call to make sure it’s the 6 cell battery.

The 1005HA is the sister model of the 1008HA model and looks almost the same, albeit it’s a little thicker and heavier (but you don’t want to say that to her face). The main difference is that the 1005HA comes with a removable battery. So if you were spiffed about the 1008HA’s built in battery, you can opt for the 1005HA and get … prettty much the same deal.

The model on sale at Amazon is the N270 version, word is an N280 version is on its way.
