Archos 7 Home Tablet Now Available
The Archos 7 Home Tablet has been up for pre-order from Amazon ($199.99) for the last few weeks, and is finally in stock. But as the site says, they would probably need a day or two for processing. You can also go check out the Archos Store where it’s already selling and shipping.
It has a 7″ 800 x 480 pixel resistive touchscreen display with 8GB storage and a slot for micro SDHC card for up to 32GB of additional storage. It runs on Google Android 1.5, and has the capability (i.e. hardware and software) for 720p HD video playback. So what you can do with it is play HD videos, view photos, surf the web and read your email.
There might be a problem with the apps since it doesn’t ship with access to the Android Market. And even if it does, it comes with Android 1.5 and apps won’t run on it. Archos does have the Appslib store though where you could find apps you need for your tablet.
It also sells for $199.99 at the Archos Store.
