Apple Magic Mouse works with Windows
No Hackintosh, no problem! Thanks to some hacks from Uneasy Silence, Apple’s multi-touch Magic Mouse can work on PCs too! Why would you want this over-priced mouse? It’s completely seamless, has no buttons and supports multi-touch. You can click anywhere, scroll in any direction and make sweeping gestures on it as if it were a MacBook Pro touchpad.
The Magic Mouse connects wirelessly – through bluetooth – so if you’re running it on your netbook, make it has bluetooth.
Magic Mouse Features
- can be configured to act as a two-button mouse
- unlimited scrolling - since the entire mouse interface can be used to scroll. And it’s easier that using a scroll button or using the mouse to use your browser’s scroll bar. Just swipe two fingers down the mouse. Sounds so elegant doesn’t it!
- scroll in any direction
- no mouse pad required - though the cynic in me is a little wary of the truth of this
- works from up to 33 feet away - this may vary depending on the Bluetooth strength of your netbook
Bottom line
Multi-touch and any direction gestures – that’s like being a maestro every time you’re on your computer! The Magic Mouse is selling for $70 with free shipping from Apple and starting at $70 from Amazon(please don’t buy it for $130!) Have the money or need to buy someone a Christmas gift? This would be a perfect buy!
