Acer’s 11.6″ Ferrari One with AMD Congo

Another addition to the fancy netbooks line up is the Ferrari One, a hotter-looking version (because of the fiery red chassis) of the Aspire Timeline 1810T (aka Acer Aspire 1410). It’s one of the first to use the AMD Congo platform with a dual-core Athlon X2 L310 (1.2GHz) processor and ATI Radeon 3200 graphics. It’s another 11.6″ netbook with a 1366 x 768 display like the Dell Inspiron 11z. The Ferrari One also has 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with optional HSDPA 3G.

It will run on Windows 7 and will be released on the same day as the OS, October 22. Price is said to be €499 ($724) but there’s no word on how much it will cost in the US. The Aspire Timeline 1810T is currently $439.99 from Amazon. The Aspire Timeline 1810T with a Ferrari logo stamped on the chassis? Expect it to be more expensive. Definitely more expensive.
