Acer Ferrari One Gets Processor Upgrade
The Acer Ferrari One laptop (which is $599.99 from Amazon is Acer’s answer to Asus’ Lamborghini-branded Eee PC VX6 (or is it the other way around?) and looks like it’s getting a much needed upgrade.
DigiTimes is reporting that the fancy car-themed notebook will have an AMD Ontario proessor which is part of the up-and-coming AMD Fusion line of processors. The netbook will be available (also according to DigiTimes) in the fourth quarter of this year. Does that mean Ontario will be ready by then rather than the earlier reported 2011?
In related news, Asus has also released user manuals for the Asus Eee PC Lamborghini VX6 laptop. In 26 different languages. It will have the same specs as the Asus Eee PC 1215N (1.83GHz Intel Atom D525 dual core processor, NVIDIA ION 2 graphics, 12.1″, 1366 x 768 pixel display). Release date was reportedly this month, but as we’re winding down the days, and still no sighting, we can hope to see it September.
