Acer Aspire Timeline 1810TZ Olympic Edition from Amazon, $580

Acer Aspire Timeline AS1810TZ-4008

Acer recently released the Acer Aspire Timeline 1810TZ Olympic Edition netbook-slash-notebook. It’s netbook-sized but with the Intel Pentium Su4100 processor and the DVD drive, it’s not quite a netbook. The 11.6″ machine showed up for pre-order at Amazon.com for $579.99.

Specs are the same as the standard Acer Aspire Timeline 1810TZ (currently out of stock).

  • 11.6″ HD Widescreen CineCrystal LED-backlit Display
  • 1.3GHz Intel Pentium Dual-Core SU4100 Processor
  • Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics
  • 3GB RAM
  • 320GB HDD
  • Webcam
  • 802.11n Wi-Fi
  • 6-cell battery 5600 mAh (8 hours battery life)
  • Windows 7 Home Premium

It weighs 3.08 lbs. Dimensions are 8 x 11.2 x 1.2 inches. Even though I’m not an Olympic fan, I’d get one if I can. I think it looks really classy, probably because it’s silver.

  1. there is no DVD drive… the acer as1810tz doesn’t have one yet these two devices are exactly the same according to you. If this is true, then this model doesn’t come with the DVD drive either…

It was probably because of Amazon’s careless product description. Notice how its a 1.3GHz Intel Pentium SU4100 Processor, but below it under “processor”, it lists it as 1.5 GHz Intel Pentium Dual-Core. which, in my knowledge doesn’t even exist. It was probably a move made by amazon to get people to buy it or, it could just be an honest mistake

  2. Hi, Robert! You’re exactly right. The Acer Aspire Timeline 1810TZ Olympic Edition doesn’t have a DVD drive. Appreciate you pointing that out :)
