An 8.9″ netbook costs less than $350

Dear faithful beloved readers,

Take a look at the photo below. Note the $599 price tag. Promise me you will never ever purchase an 8.9″ netbook for more than $350 unless it includes a dinner with Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie. Or Daniel Radcliffe and Miley Cyrus for the younger lot of you. Or it comes with a built in modem, a 5 hour battery life, a GPS and a TV tuner.

Especially if you see that the white version is available for $299 and the blue one is $320, and the 6.5 hour battery life one is $370.

Picture-1

The netbook in the picture – the $600 Black Aspire One 8.9″ netbook – is ridiculously overpriced. And 27% of the people who visited that page bought it. I checked – there were no hidden features that could in any way justify the price.

Now that could have been an honest mistake on the buyers’ part. But that’s one honest mistake you should not be making. Double check your prices, and check our reviews to make sure you’re on the right track.

Sincerely,

Me

P.s. Read our review of the 8.9″ Acer, it’s actually a good netbook if you buy it at the appropriate price ($299 to $$370).
