11.6″ Asus Eee PC 1101HA Now Available in the US
The 11.6″ Asus Eee PC 1101HA is now popping up in online US stores. It’s been available in Europe for the last few weeks, and so it’s good that it’s been spotted in the States in stores such as Buydig and Newegg.
It’s pretty much a new member of the Asus “seashell” line, with the familiar “seashell”-inspired shape that the Eee PC 1005HA and the Eee PC 1008HA sports, only it’s bigger. It also came as a surprise that Asus opted to use an Atom Z520 CPU instead of the netbook staple Intel Atom processor. With what I know, the Z520 might just mean that the netbook may be a tad slower that it’s Intel Atom-toting counterparts, especially with it’s screen size, but then, we’ll just have to wait and see.

11.6″ 1366 x 768 pixel glossy display 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 CPU 1GB RAM 160GB hard drive 1.3MP webcam 802.11b/g/n WiFi Bluetooth 2.1 6 cell, 62Whr battery
Looks like only the black one is available for now.
Buydig is selling it for $499.99 with free shipping.
Newegg’s price is also $499.99.
