10.2″ Archos 10s Available in October for $399

We’ll finally see the 10.2″ Archos 10s in mid-October. It was supposed to be released in June if I remember correctly. It’s their second netbook after the Archos 10. It’s a slimmer, lighter version of their first netbook, weighing 2.2 lbs. and is less than an inch thick, but the specs are pretty much the same as any old netbook. Yes, even the older Archos 10.
Technical Specifications:
- 10.2” 1024×600 Display
- Atom N270 processor
- 1GB RAM
- 160GB HDD
- 1.3MP Webcam
- Windows XP
- 3-cell (2.5 hours) / 6-cell (5 hours)
Average specs if you ask me, and for an October-release, wonder why they didn’t slap a Windows 7 on it. Word is that Archos still wants to see how their netbooks can handle the OS. The 10S is said to cost $399.
